Prefold Cloth Diapers

Prefold cloth diapers are a modern version of the flat cloth diaper. They are often rectangular pieces of fabric that can be folded in many different ways to create a diaper. What differs between a prefold diaper and a traditional flat diaper is the layering. Prefold diapers typically have extensive layering towards the middle of the fabric and less layering towards the sides. This allows for maximum absorption regardless of the way you fold your diaper. Prefold diapers can be extremely simple to use, however they can also be quite confusing when you do not fully understand how to place them on your child. One of the most common ways to use a prefold cloth diaper is within a cloth diaper cover. The prefold diaper can be folded in an accordion style fold so that it fits in the length of the diaper cover from front to back. Then you can turn one end of the fabric completely over creating a thickly padded twist in the middle.
