Cloth vs Disposable Diapers

All parents want to do what is best for their child as they grow and develop.  Most parents are worried about their parenting styles and their child’s safety in and around their home, however most parents give little thought to their choice of diapers.  The cloth vs disposable diaper debate has been ongoing for years and still many parents cannot decide which is best.  When cloth diapers are compared to disposable diapers they are far more beneficial in almost every way imaginable. 

Cloth diapers are far more comfortable then disposable diapers.  There are not many parents who are wearing plastic underwear themselves, the thought of it is rather discomforting.  If parents are not willing to wear plastic underwear why are they so willing to make their children wear them?  Cloth diapers promote natural airflow as well as flexibility and maximum absorption.  All of these factors contribute to minimizing diaper rash, which we all know is extremely painful for your child.  If your child’s comfort is not enough for you to solve the cloth vs disposable diaper debate there are many other advantages that should. 

Cloth diapers are extremely cost effective.  On average your child will dirty at least 7 diapers a day for about the first three years of their life.  That accounts for thousands of diaper changes.  With parents who diaper their children in disposable diapers that equally means they need thousands of diapers per child.  With cloth diapers that can be reused many times for many children parents usually only need to purchase between 100-200 diapers in their lifetime.  There are styles of cloth diapers that adjust to the size of your child as they grow so, in theory, you can use the same diapers for the entire time that your child is wearing them.  When it comes to the cloth vs disposable diaper debate there should be no question on which to use.  Natural baby products are the best bet for the earth.
